It all started in Italy, where I came across a down quilted
skirt in this sports store in Pescara. Loving it, I came home to Montreal
and reproduced one for myself. With the remaining fabric I had hand
stuffed and quilted, I made two "down" dog coats for my "boys". When
the dogs and I took our daily walks in our duvet attire we became
aware that heads were turning, and thought maybe others might like
to share the warmth of a down filled quilted coat with their own dogs.
While discussing the dogs and their new coats at a party, the name
Down Dogs came to mind, and being of a design and creative bent,
the name was registered and the company born.
Oh, to be warm and stylish.
